In the midst of winter, as we cope with the ice and snow of the season and try to stay warm, I thought it would be appropriate to feature a project that I completed recently for the Rosendorf/Evans fur retailer in the Tyson’s Corner Center Mall in McClean, Virginia. Although most of my work involves designs for homes, I do some commercial Interior design as well, and this was an exciting and demanding project.

Because of the mall’s requirements, once we began the actual work, we had to complete everything in 10 days. This required careful planning and coordination because the remodeling involved new floors, new wall treatment, new lighting, installation of new wall mirrors, and expansion and redesign of wall storage.  One element we did not change was the entry tile work that featured the elaborate logo of Rosendorf/Evans. That was one source of inspiration for the decor of the renovation.
