I thought this photo of a bathroom that I recently finished as part of a whole-house remodel was appropriate for the season. The color scheme for the bath and other elements of the décor in this house was in part inspired by the colors of the winter season—the sparkle of ice and white snow in the sunlight.

You can also see here some of the bespoke cabinetry that is prominent throughout the entire house. The cabinetry in this client’s bathroom is finished with a custom strié painting process. We chose various shades of gray, then glazed the cabinets with a deeper gray. It gives the modern color of gray a very old world look.
