Over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of traveling all around the world (safely, of course), and what an amazing time I’ve had! There is so much to gain from visiting all these different countries and places. Not only is everywhere simply bursting with design inspiration, but we have so much to learn from different cultures. There is rich history everywhere you go, delicious new foods to try at every corner, and nature’s beauty everywhere you look. Keep reading for a snapshot into three amazing places I visited!

Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo is the largest district of the Principality of Monaco and is an iconic destination for vacation goers everywhere. It overlooks the Mediterranean sea and is home to the famous Monte Carlo Casino. Monaco is also governed by the House of Grimaldi Royal Family which has been established since the 1200s. It is also the host of the Monaco Grand Prix, a Formula One event, and one of the most prestigious car races in the world. This takes place in late spring/early summer each year. Unfortunately, I was not there for the Grand Prix, but I am a huge fan of Formula One so even being in the same city was such a massive treat.

When in Monte Carlo, I stayed at the Hotel de Paris which was just opposite the casino. We explored the city, enjoyed the beaches, and ate at so many fantastic restaurants. Monte Carlo is one of those must-see places if you’re traveling through Europe, and I can’t wait to go back (hopefully for the Grand Prix!)

Antibes, France

Antibes, France is a small coastal city in the south of France that overlooks the Mediterranean sea, in between Nice and Cannes. This town dates back to around 400 BCE when it was started as a Greek colony. Needless to say, the entire city is bursting with a rich history. Antibes is famous for its amazing beaches, cobblestone streets, and thriving markets. The city also hosts the Grimaldi Castle which Picasso used as a studio in the 1940s and has been transformed into a museum of his artwork.

I loved walking around the colorful streets and browsing the different markets. I also had the pleasure of having lunch at the famous Eden-Roc Resort that overlooks the Mediterranean sea. There is something so magical about the Mediterranean – the water is so blue and the sun is so warm. Antibes, France is the perfect place to vacation, relax, and learn some history!

Bath, England

Bath is a city located in a Southwest province of England called Somerset. When the Romans colonized Great Britain back in the 1st Century CE, they established hot spring spas and baths, which is where this amazing city gets its name. In fact, there are still ruins of the Roman spas in the city center that you can visit and explore. They even have an area where you can taste some water from the natural hot springs. But the Roman Spas are only one of the beautiful things about Bath. Because it is an ancient city, every building you look at is a work of art.

When I was in Bath, I enjoyed a visit to the famous Priory Hotel, covered in lush English Ivy and host to the most beautiful oil paintings. It is situated next to a gorgeous garden that makes you feel as though you are in Pride and Prejudice. If you decide to visit England, I cannot recommend visiting Bath enough.

More to Come…

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, so the past year and a half has been difficult not being able to travel as much! But as soon as it’s safe, I plan on visiting more countries all over the world. Read about my trip to Palm Beach earlier this year here.
